(ĐN) – According to the Đồng Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to now, the relevant authorities have handed over 72km of cleared land to the project enterprise for the construction of the Gia Nghĩa – Chơn Thành Expressway.

The cleared land that has been handed over includes continuous sections of the route with lengths of 100 meters or more. As for fragmented sections ("leopard-spot" areas), the project enterprise will receive them at a later stage.

Regarding the construction progress of resettlement areas for households affected by the project, two construction packages have been completed, one package has reached 45% of the contract value, and another has reached 70% of the contract value. Concerning the relocation of technical infrastructure, the appraisal and approval of detailed construction drawings and cost estimates have been completed, and contractors are currently being selected for the relocation of the 220kV, 500kV, and 110kV power transmission lines.

The Gia Nghĩa – Chơn Thành Expressway has a total length of approximately 124km, passing through Lâm Đồng Province and Đồng Nai City. Of this, the section passing through Đồng Nai City is more than 101km long. The project is divided into five component projects. The Đồng Nai City People's Committee is the competent authority responsible for implementing three of these component projects, including: Component Project 1 – construction of the expressway; Component Project 3 – construction of frontage roads and overpasses within Đồng Nai City; and Component Project 5 – land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement within Đồng Nai City.

Land clearance, the construction of resettlement areas, and the relocation of technical infrastructure fall under Component Project 5. Under this project, Đồng Nai City will carry out compensation and site clearance for more than 1,000 hectares of land to facilitate project construction.

For Component Project 3, contractors are carrying out roadbed works, drainage systems, overpasses, stockpiling construction stone and embankment materials, girder casting, and bored pile construction, with implementation exceeding 40% of the signed contract value.

For Component Project 1, the investor has completed the dossier for adjusting the project's pre-feasibility study report. The Đồng Nai City People's Committee has submitted it to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval of the revised investment policy.
