Specifically, preferential import tax of 0%, environmental protection tax of VND 0, and exemption from value-added tax for petroleum products will continue to apply until the end of September 2026. Meanwhile, special consumption tax on gasoline is implemented in accordance with the Law on Special Consumption Tax No. 66/2025/QH15 and its guiding documents. Accordingly, the tax rate is 10% for mineral gasoline, 8% for E5 gasoline, and 7% for E10 gasoline.
In this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance made allocations to the fund from the state budget advance source at VND 300 per liter for biofuel gasoline, VND 800 per liter for diesel oil, and VND 800 per kilogram for mazut oil. From 12:00 a.m. on July 1, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND 1,426 per liter compared with the previous adjustment period, reaching VND 20,785 per liter. E10 RON 95-III gasoline rose by VND 1,287 per liter to VND 21,203 per liter. This is the first gasoline price increase after five consecutive reductions.
Meanwhile, oil prices remain unchanged compared with the previous adjustment period. The maximum retail price of diesel oil is VND 21,866 per liter, while mazut oil is capped at VND 15,030 per kilogram.
Since late February 2026, domestic gasoline and oil prices have undergone 28 adjustment periods. During this time, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased 12 times, decreased 14 times, and remained unchanged twice; diesel oil increased 10 times, decreased 15 times, and remained unchanged in three periods. In addition, the price of E10 RON 95-III gasoline has entered its third adjustment period with the base price announced in accordance with Government Resolution No. 29/2026/NQ-CP on piloting several policies to support the roadmap for using E10 gasoline.
