Biofuel Prices Drop Below 20,000 VND per Liter
(ĐN) - On the afternoon of June 25, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance conducted their regular weekly retail petrol and oil price adjustment. Prices for multiple types of petrol and oil continued to decrease during this retail adjustment period.

During this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance implemented a provision for the Price Stabilization Fund from state budget advances at a rate of 300 VND/liter for biofuels, 800 VND/liter for diesel oil, and 800 VND/kg for mazut oil. Following the provisioning and utilization of the Petrol and Oil Price Stabilization Fund, the maximum retail prices for popular petrol and oil products on the market simultaneously decreased starting from 3:00 PM on June 25.
Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 petrol decreased by 767 VND/liter, dropping to 19,359 VND/liter; E10 RON 95-III petrol decreased by 837 VND/liter, bringing its maximum retail price to 19,916 VND/liter. For oil products, the price of diesel oil decreased by 1,668 VND/liter, falling to 21,866 VND/liter; the price of mazut oil decreased by 1,650 VND/kg, with its price capped at 15,030 VND/kg.
From late February 2026 to the present, domestic petrol and oil prices have undergone 27 adjustment periods. Among these, E5 RON 92 petrol increased 11 times, decreased 14 times, and remained unchanged twice; diesel oil increased 10 times, decreased 15 times, and remained unchanged for 2 periods. Particularly within the past month or so, the prices of E5 RON 92 petrol and diesel oil have experienced 5 consecutive price cuts.
Meanwhile, this marks the second management period for E10 RON 95-III petrol where its base price announcement was executed in accordance with the regulations in the Government's Resolution No. 29/2026/NQ-CP regarding the piloting of several policies serving the roadmap for E10 petrol usage.
