Dong Nai breaks ground on the country's first 1,000-unit social housing project for lease
On the morning of June 12, Dong Nai City officially pressed the button to break ground on the Long Binh Social Housing Project for Lease (Phase 1). This is a milestone project, materializing the affordable rental apartment model dedicated to workers and low-income individuals under the latest directives from the Central Government.
The project is built on a 1.52-hectare land plot in Long Binh Ward, a central connectivity hub for major industrial zones such as Amata, Bien Hoa II, Ho Nai, Loteco, and Agtex Long Binh. This is an area with a high density of laborers and an immense demand for stable, safe rental housing.

Phase 1 of the project has a total investment of approximately 1,360 billion VND from the local budget source, with a maximum execution time of 4 years. The scale of the construction comprises 2 apartment blocks rising 20 stories high, providing around 1,000 apartments for lease with areas ranging from 30 m² to 70 m².
The entire project is invested with a synchronized technical infrastructure system, parking lots, greenery, community living spaces, and modern security and fire prevention systems. According to the long-term planning, the entire area will be expanded to 12.17 hectares with around 10,000 apartments, fully integrating schools of all levels and public amenities.
At the ceremony, the Dong Nai Construction Investment Project Management Board (the Investor) and Sonadezi Corporation (the Construction Unit) mutually committed to coordinating closely and mobilizing maximum resources to complete the project on schedule, ensuring quality, occupational safety, and environmental protection.
As a major industrial center, Dong Nai City identifies the development of social housing for lease as a core task to ensure social welfare and retain human resources. Following this project, Dong Nai will continue to review land funds to replicate the model in Nhon Trach and Long Thanh with an expected scale of around 10,000 rental apartments in each locality, contributing to improving competitiveness and attracting sustainable investment.
