Backed by intensive efforts in investment scheduling and land clearance, Dong Nai City is projected to initiate construction on six major transportation infrastructure projects within June 2026. This portfolio encompasses four entirely new construction projects and two upgrades/expansions of existing routes.

These projects will form a synchronized regional road framework, driving socio-economic growth, expanding internal connectivity, and creating key links between neighboring provinces.

Breaking Ground on 4 Fresh Construction Projects

The vital projects targeted for brand-new deployment include Ma Da Bridge, the HCMC Ring Road 4, Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard (Hương lộ 2), and Route 770B.

For the HCMC Ring Road 4 segment traversing Dong Nai, the investment is structured into two sub-projects. The upcoming deployment will focus on sub-project 1-2, covering compensation, resettlement assistance, and the physical construction of nearly 62 km of parallel service roads running alongside the primary expressway corridor.

Concurrently, for Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard (Hương lộ 2), following the completion of Phase 1, Dong Nai City will advance directly into Phase 2. This segment stretches approximately 5.7 km, connecting Vam Cai Sut Bridge directly to the HCMC - Long Thanh - Dầu Giây Expressway. The project is being executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

The deployment of Phase 2 will complete a synchronous arterial route connecting National Highway 51 to the expressways, engineering an alternative gateway between Dong Nai City and Ho Chi Minh City. This layout is heavily expected to relieve traffic congestion on the heavily overloaded National Highway 51.

Municipal leadership emphasized that the structural layout of Nguyen Huu Canh Boulevard carries deep strategic weight. Historical utilization of the Dong Nai riverfront has faced structural delays and lacked a comprehensive master plan, resulting in unsynchronized technical infrastructure and fragmented architecture. Consequently, the city is prioritizing the reconstruction of the Dong Nai riverfront into a dedicated ecological, scenic, and economic corridor.

Regarding Route 770B, this brand-new arterial road covers a length of nearly 43 km, running across the jurisdiction of 9 separate communes and wards within Dong Nai.

A Critical Lifeline Connecting the Central Highlands to Long Thành Airport

For the Ma Da Bridge Project, following its initial ground-breaking ceremony in August 2025, functional municipal agencies have revised the blueprint, expanding the bridge from 4 to 8 lanes with a total investment exceeding 133 billion VND and a length of over 210 meters. The project aims to complete the regional transit loop running from Binh Phuoc through Bien Hoa to the HCMC Ring Road 4.

The starting point of Ma Da Bridge links directly with Route ĐT753 in Tan Loi Commune (formerly part of Binh Phuoc province), while its terminus anchors within the Dong Nai Nature and Cultural Conservation Area (Ma Da Commune, Vinh Cuu District). Upon completion, this bridge will drastically shorten the travel distance from Dong Xoài (formerly Binh Phuoc) to Bien Hoa, acting as a critical logistical lifeline linking the Central Highland provinces directly to Long Thanh International Airport and the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Deep-Water Port complex.

In parallel, major technical upgrades and expansion projects for Route 769 and Route 773 are also scheduled for official groundbreaking within June 2026.

According to Mr. Dinh Tien Hai, Director of the Dong Nai Construction Investment Project Management Board, these represent the city's highest-priority engineering works. These corridors establish the underlying framework for internal city transit, inter-city logistics, and regional economic integration, shaping the structural future of the region's overall highway infrastructure.
