Dong Nai Post Rebound: How Economic Indicators Fared in the First 5 Months of 2026
According to data released by the Dong Nai Statistics Office, multiple economic development indicators across the province sustained a robust growth trajectory throughout the first five months of 2026.
Industrial production maintained a positive growth trajectory during the opening months of 2026. The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for the first five months of the year rose by an estimated 13.59% year-on-year. Sector-wise, mining and quarrying increased by 4.41%, manufacturing and processing advanced by nearly 12.8%, while the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam, and air conditioning surged by approximately 35.3%.
Notably, revenue from warehousing and transportation support services across the province climbed by 28.95% compared to the same period last year. In tandem, total retail sales of goods and consumer services, alongside passenger and freight transport revenues, sustained double-digit growth momentum.
