(DN) – On the morning of August 21, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut met with a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, led by Chinese Ambassador He Wei. Also attending were Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City Tang Li and leaders of relevant departments and agencies of Dong Nai City.

According to Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei, China is currently Vietnam’s largest export market for agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, with exports increasing by more than 40% in the first six months of this year. He said Long Thanh International Airport will create major opportunities for Dong Nai, supporting not only logistics and high-value cargo transportation but also tourism. Many Chinese businesses are currently interested in exploring investment opportunities in Dong Nai.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut said Dong Nai is currently revising its master plan and development space, with a focus on industries ranging from high-tech agriculture and manufacturing to trade, services, and logistics.

As part of its economic development, Dong Nai has attracted businesses from many countries and territories. The city hopes to attract more Chinese businesses to invest and cooperate in Dong Nai.

Dong Nai hopes the meeting will provide the Chinese Embassy with a comprehensive understanding of the city’s potential, strengths, and development orientations, helping promote and attract more Chinese businesses to Dong Nai. This is expected to create new, practical, and effective cooperation opportunities between Dong Nai and Chinese localities in the future.

China is currently one of Dong Nai’s important investment partners, with 466 projects and total registered investment capital of more than USD 4.8 billion. Chinese businesses operate effectively in sectors including electronic components, electrical equipment, mechanical engineering, metal products, machinery, and industrial equipment manufacturing.
