Dong Nai Targets Two Eco-Industrial Parks by 2030 in Green Transition Push

According to the Dong Nai Industrial Zones and Economic Zones Authority, the agency is actively rolling out a strategic blueprint to transition local industrial zones (IZs) toward eco-friendly and sustainable development models.

Under the plan, Dong Nai aims to establish at least two certified eco-industrial parks by 2030. Concurrently, 100% of enterprises and infrastructure developers within these zones will undergo targeted advocacy campaigns on green transformation and innovation. The blueprint also mandates that a minimum of 10% of tenant companies adopt cleaner production practices and resource-efficient strategies. Furthermore, 90% of IZs are expected to implement energy-saving solutions, while 100% must upgrade to broadband telecommunications infrastructure to support smart factory operations.

Looking ahead to the 2031–2050 period, the province will scale up the eco-industrial park model, foster industrial symbiosis, expand renewable energy adoption, and strive toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

To realize these targets, local authorities will prioritize attracting high-tech foreign direct investment (FDI) projects. Key enablers will include the development of digital infrastructure, data centers, and 5G networks, alongside the deployment of green financing mechanisms to fuel the transition.
