Dong Nai welcomes the first bank to establish its headquarters shortly after becoming a city

This is not merely an administrative boundary change, but a significant economic signal, marking the beginning of a new breakthrough chapter for a dynamic and modern new city.

Dong Nai remains “open” and offers the highest level of support to the business community

In early April 2026, the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee issued a document inviting KienlongBank to establish its headquarters in the locality. KienlongBank subsequently conducted research, prepared a proposal, and submitted it to the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The decision by a major financial institution to “connect” with Dong Nai at the very moment the locality is preparing to enter a new chapter is clear evidence of the confidence that corporations, enterprises, and financial institutions place in the position of the new city.

Member of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long said the locality’s consistent and long-standing view is to maintain an “open-door” policy and provide the highest level of support for corporations, enterprises, and financial institutions. Particularly as the National Assembly has just passed the Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City, the Dong Nai authorities are committed to mobilizing all resources to accelerate development and achieve a breakthrough. The goal is not only to build a modern urban area, but also to make Dong Nai a true economic “locomotive” and a strategic growth driver for the entire Southeast region and the country.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, the invitation extended to KienlongBank was not a random choice. With more than 30 years of operation and strong pioneering efforts in digital technology application, KienlongBank is regarded as a credit institution with a dynamic development orientation, highly aligned with the “smart city” development trend that Dong Nai is pursuing.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that Dong Nai is always ready to invite reputable corporations, enterprises and financial institutions to join hands and contribute strongly to local economic development. KienlongBank’s study of plans to expand its operations and relocate its headquarters to Dong Nai will help broaden the Bank’s development space, while enhancing its access to a large-scale market with substantial growth potential.

“Dong Nai is committed to accompanying, supporting and creating the most favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms and procedures for corporations, enterprises and financial institutions to operate and contribute to the locality’s development,” Mr. Nguyen Kim Long affirmed.

The presence of KienlongBank—a major bank with more than 30 years of operation and headquartered in the locality—will help complete the financial ecosystem and lay a solid foundation for high-quality industrial and service investment.

Over the past period, Dong Nai has consistently viewed the growth of corporations, enterprises, and financial institutions as part of the locality’s own development. As Dong Nai officially becomes a city from April 30, 2026, the presence of a major bank with more than 30 years of operation headquartered in the locality will help complete the financial ecosystem and create a solid foundation for high-quality industrial and service investment.

Sharing his views on the decision to tap the potential of Dong Nai—a locality emerging as a new trade hub of the region—KienlongBank Chairman Tran Ngoc Minh said there is a deep alignment between KienlongBank’s aspiration for breakthrough growth and the locality’s development vision. With the fourth-largest economic scale in the country and impressive growth momentum, Dong Nai is establishing itself as a new “growth pole,” supported by a synchronized infrastructure network ranging from expressways and logistics systems to the highly promising Long Thanh International Airport mega-project. In particular, the milestone of becoming a centrally governed city is an important catalyst for Dong Nai to become a “smart megacity” leading the regional economy.

Relocating its headquarters to Dong Nai is not merely a geographical shift, but a statement of forward-looking vision, positioning KienlongBank at the center of a dynamic economic axis and future financial flows.

“For KienlongBank, Dong Nai is not merely the location of our new headquarters, but the place where we realize the mission of a technology-driven financial institution. We choose to become a strategic ‘link,’ accompanying the authorities, the business community and individuals in shaping the future. Relocating our headquarters to Dong Nai is not simply a geographical shift, but a statement of forward-looking vision, positioning KienlongBank at the center of a dynamic economic axis and future financial flows,” Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh shared.

Co-creating and developing, contributing to Dong Nai’s transformation into a modern and smart economic urban area

Dong Nai has developed rapidly and comprehensively, forming a multi-center economic and urban space closely connected with development corridors and major economic hubs. With a population of nearly 4.5 million, the locality’s GRDP in 2025 reached nearly VND 678 trillion, contributing about 5% of GDP; budget revenue reached nearly VND 103 trillion, ranking fourth nationwide; and GRDP per capita reached VND 150.86 million, also ranking fourth nationwide.

In addition, with an ecosystem of 43 existing industrial parks, the Long Thanh International Airport “mega-project” and GRDP growth of 9.63% in 2025, Dong Nai is emerging as a highly potential financial market. Total outstanding credit in the locality has exceeded VND 600 trillion and is expected to rise sharply as urbanization accelerates.

This serves as an ideal launchpad for corporations, enterprises and financial institutions to realize their strategic visions. KienlongBank, in particular, is oriented toward becoming a comprehensive digital bank with a dynamic and modern ecosystem. As a local bank in the country’s new growth pole, KienlongBank will have the mindset and resources to make a breakthrough, delivering sustainable value to the locality, customers and shareholders.

By establishing its headquarters in Dong Nai City, KienlongBank has set out a roadmap to build a connected ecosystem, integrating its financial products and services into the locality’s infrastructure platforms, thereby creating a digital banking journey serving the digital city and digital citizens.

To attract next-generation investment flows, Dong Nai has established a growth model driven primarily by science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and high-quality human resources. For corporations, enterprises, and financial institutions, Dong Nai is therefore truly a “golden land” to leverage existing technological platforms.

For KienlongBank, upon establishing its headquarters in Dong Nai, the Bank has set out a roadmap to build a connected ecosystem, integrating its financial products and services into the locality’s infrastructure platforms, thereby creating a digital banking journey that serves the digital city and digital citizens.

KienlongBank Chairman Tran Ngoc Minh further shared that, for this journey to truly create sustainable value and become a model of collaboration between a technology enterprise and the locality, KienlongBank has identified three pillars of partnership with the Dong Nai authorities: fostering an enabling investment environment, developing digital infrastructure, and connecting value chains.

In addition, KienlongBank has strong confidence in Dong Nai’s robust administrative reform efforts. The Bank also expects to benefit from an open and transparent legal environment to quickly stabilize and grow. KienlongBank’s success will serve as a vivid testament, sending a positive message to major investors about a Dong Nai ready to welcome leading financial institutions.

“On KienlongBank’s part, we are committed to contributing nearly VND 1,000 billion to the state budget annually from the initial phase. This affirms our mindset of ‘coming to co-create’—coming to contribute to Dong Nai’s development into a modern and smart economic megacity,” affirmed Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh, Chairman of KienlongBank’s Board of Directors.

When KienlongBank’s financial and technological strengths align with the province’s aspiration for breakthrough growth, this is expected to create strong synergy, contributing to the formation of a “local financial institution” with international stature. This is not merely the growth of a bank, but the rise of a financial ecosystem commensurate with Dong Nai’s position as a new national growth pole.
