In addition, large-scale infrastructure projects that are accelerating their progress are also creating tens of thousands of job opportunities for workers.

Enterprises Need to Recruit Tens of Thousands of Laborers

According to a report by the Dong Nai City Employment Service Center, it is projected that in 2026, enterprises in the area will have a demand to recruit around 173,000 workers, an increase of nearly 20% compared to the previous year. Therein, manual labor accounts for a major proportion with nearly 134,000 job positions. Particularly in the second quarter of 2026, the recruitment demand reached up to 14,000 workers to meet production expansion plans and execute export orders. Industries with high recruitment demands include textiles and garments, leather footwear, electronics, mechanics, wood processing, and construction...

Rising human resource demands have caused many enterprises in industrial parks such as Nhon Trach, Long Khanh, Bau Xeo, Amata, and Dong Phu to continuously open large-scale recruitment drives. Not only increasing in quantity, the Dong Nai labor market has also recorded improvements in income and treatment policies. The average wage for new laborers stands at over VND 8 million/month. Many enterprises also offer additional policies supporting housing, shuttle buses, productivity bonuses, and welfare to attract workers amid fierce personnel competition.

Hyosung Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach 5 Industrial Park) regularly recruits a large number of manual laborers with incomes ranging from VND 9–14 million/month, including basic salary, allowances (excluding overtime), and bonuses for new employees. In addition, workers are supported with free daily shuttle buses, lunch, and full participation in prescribed insurance and policies. The departments needing recruitment are packaging, machine operating, fiber winding, and lifting... In recent days, the enterprise has switched to livestream recruitment to directly reach potential candidates.

Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park) is also continuously recruiting manual laborers. Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department of the company, stated: The enterprise prioritizes recruiting male and female workers with good health and basic reading and writing skills. To attract human resources, the company deploys many attractive support policies such as an allowance of VND 2 million for newly hired workers and a bonus of VND 700,000 for employees who successfully recommend relatives or friends to work. The enterprise also organizes daily shuttle buses for workers while maintaining multiple welfare regimes regarding bonuses, life care, and other supporting activities. These policies not only contribute to attracting new people but also help workers feel secure to stay long-term with the enterprise.

Alongside production workers, the implementation and preparation for operational exploitation of key infrastructure projects, particularly Long Thanh Airport, also create a growth driver for the labor market. According to the Department of Home Affairs, the Long Thanh Airport project is projected to need nearly 14,000 workers (Phase 1 requires 4,000–6,000 workers). The positions to be recruited include drivers, toll collection staff, waste fee collection staff, apron supervisors, and inspectors... The Aqua City project needs to recruit nearly 15,000 workers ranging from manual labor to university degree levels...

Strengthening Labor Supply-Demand Connections

Due to the highly increased recruitment demands, many enterprises across the city face difficulties in finding suitable human resources. Localized labor shortages have appeared at some industrial parks due to workers moving back to other localities or choosing jobs with better working conditions and income. According to some enterprises, despite having policies to raise wages and increase welfare, they still have not recruited enough workers according to their production plans.

Ms. Do Thi Ha, in charge of human resources at Vietnam Fortune Technology International Co., Ltd. (Binh Phuoc Ward), stated: The recruitment demand of the enterprise is currently very large due to continuously increasing orders, especially for manual labor. Despite stepping up recruitment through many channels, the enterprise still encounters difficulties in finding workers. Alongside a competitive wage, the enterprise also applies many welfare policies such as fuel support, Tet bonuses, and an additional month's salary bonus at the end of the year to create an attraction for workers.

In order to strengthen labor supply-demand connections, from the beginning of 2026 to date, the Dong Nai City Employment Service Center has stepped up organizing job transaction sessions via in-person combined with online formats, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and workers to access recruitment information quickly and effectively. Through job transaction floors, thousands of recruitment positions across multiple trades and fields have been introduced, partly contributing to meeting the human resource demands of enterprises.

Not only focusing on urban areas and industrial zones, the center also coordinates with local authorities to organize mobile job transaction sessions in many communes across the city. Specifically, on June 24, the center will organize a job transaction session in Bu Dang Commune with dozens of enterprises participating in recruitment. This activity helps workers in rural areas directly interface with recruiting enterprises, receive career orientation counseling, and learn about employment support policies. Thereby, it contributes to resolving employment and raising income for citizens, while simultaneously supplementing the labor source for enterprises currently experiencing large recruitment demands.

The sharp increase in labor recruitment demand is a positive signal showing that the production and business activities of enterprises are flourishing. This is not only an opportunity for workers to seek stable employment but also contributes to driving the socio-economic development of Dong Nai City.

Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Mai Xuan Tuan stated: To achieve the city's goal of having 2.6 million employed workers by 2030, the Department of Home Affairs strives to create jobs, supply, and introduce employment for 40,000–42,000 workers/year, meeting the labor utilization needs of enterprises across the city and linked localities. For the 2026–2030 phase, the goal is to support employment for approximately 160,000–168,000 turns of laborers, thereby providing a human resource source that makes important contributions to the socio-economic development of Dong Nai.
