In Dong Nai City, where more than 80% of taxpayers are household businesses, eTax Mobile is attracting increasing attention and becoming more widely used for completing tax administrative procedures.
More Convenient Features
According to the General Department of Taxation, the new version of the eTax Mobile application has been comprehensively redesigned with a more intuitive, user-friendly, and well-organized interface. Through the application, taxpayers can conveniently monitor important information such as: temporary exit suspension status; tax obligations; personal income tax information from salaries and wages; non-agricultural land use tax information; and business location listings. These features allow taxpayers to easily keep track of their tax obligations through a simpler access process. Notably, the upgraded eTax Mobile application now also integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to provide guidance and answer taxpayers' questions.
Ms. Tran Thuy Phuong, an accountant at a garment company in Tan Trieu Ward, shared that she has updated the electronic tax management application and tried several of its new features. She found it convenient and easy to use. In particular, the AI support tool provides responses relatively quickly. However, she believes the AI feature should operate more smoothly to better meet taxpayers' needs.
In addition to its convenient tax inquiry functions, the upgraded eTax Mobile application now includes a feature for checking non-agricultural land use tax information, allowing residents to proactively monitor the amount of tax payable, the status of their financial obligations, and other property-related information. This helps reduce cases of late tax payments caused by a lack of information.
Regarding this feature, Mr. Truong Hoang, a resident of Tran Bien Ward, shared that his family recently had to pay a series of outstanding tax liabilities, including late payment charges and land tax arrears from previous years, even though the property had previously belonged to another owner. After exploring the updated application, he feels reassured because he will now be able to manage and pay land taxes directly through the application.
Improving Service Quality
One of the most notable highlights emphasized by the tax authority in announcing the successful upgrade of the eTax Mobile application is the integration of an AI support tool, which helps improve the quality of taxpayer services.

The application now provides an intuitive interface that allows users to communicate in natural language and receive instant responses regarding outstanding tax debts, tax enforcement information, temporary exit suspension status, and many other related matters. The AI tool functions as an intelligent virtual assistant capable of directly guiding individual business owners in preparing tax declarations, thereby simplifying the filing process, reducing errors, and enhancing the overall user experience.
According to the General Department of Taxation, launching the new version of eTax Mobile is not merely a technical upgrade but also demonstrates the agency's commitment to continuously improving digital tax services with taxpayers at the center, while enhancing transparency, openness, and user-friendliness in service delivery.
This also marks an important step toward building a modern electronic tax ecosystem, contributing to Vietnam's national digital transformation, the development of a digital financial system, and a digital government that better serves both citizens and businesses.
To further improve taxpayer support, Nguyen Toan Thang, Head of the Dong Nai City Tax Department, stated that the tax authority is actively guiding taxpayers to become proficient in using the eTax Mobile application so they can conveniently complete registration, tax declaration, tax payment, tax refunds, and other tax procedures entirely through electronic methods.
