According to preliminary estimates, the total expected budget for compensation, support, and resettlement for the project exceeds 1.2 trillion VND.
The project passes through five wards with a total length of over 18 km and an expected width of 17 meters. An estimated 527 households will be affected, including 118 households subject to "total clearance" (full land recovery) who must be provided with resettlement housing.
The total land area calculated for compensation and support is approximately 161,000 square meters, primarily consisting of agricultural and residential land. Additionally, about 149,000 square meters of forest land, institutional land, and defense land are not subject to compensation. Areas with a significant number of affected households include Phuoc Tan, Long Hung, and Tam Phuoc wards.
For households required to relocate, resettlement is expected to be arranged within local resettlement areas, mainly in Phuoc Tan and Tam Phuoc wards. In addition to compensation payments, residents will receive support for temporary housing rentals, life stabilization, vocational transition, and relocation costs.
According to the Land Development Center - Bien Hoa Branch, these are only preliminary estimates for the investment preparation phase. Following the field survey (inventory of assets) and the formulation of detailed plans, the costs for compensation, support, and resettlement will undergo further appraisal and approval in accordance with regulations.

Section 1, stretching approximately 7.4km, runs from Suoi Tien Station to the City Administrative Center. Section 2, covering about 37.2km, extends from the Administrative Center to Long Thanh Airport. The project also includes the construction of stations, depots, and other supporting facilities along the line.
The project will be implemented across various wards and communes, including: Bien Hoa, Tran Bien, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phước, An Phuoc, Long Thanh, and Nhon Trach. The execution period is expected to span from 2026 to 2030.
The metro line extension will enhance transport connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City, the inner-city wards of Dong Nai City, and Long Thanh Airport, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
