Over 37km of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway to open to traffic at 5 p.m. on April 29
According to the plan, more than 37 kilometres of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, under component projects 2 and 3 passing through Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, will officially open to traffic at 5:00 p.m. on April 29 in its first phase of operation.

The section put into service starts at Km16+000, connecting with the end point of Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway near the interchange with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in Long Thanh Commune, Dong Nai Province. The route ends at Km53+700, where it connects with National Highway 56 and the Ba Ria bypass in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the initial phase, the expressway will operate on a temporary basis, with a maximum speed of 80 kilometres per hour and a minimum speed of 60 kilometres per hour. To ensure traffic safety while the infrastructure has not yet been fully completed, only passenger cars with fewer than nine seats will be allowed to use the route.
In terms of scale, the section has between four and six lanes. The segment from the temporary Bung Mon interchange at Km16+000 to Tan Hiep interchange at Km29+300 is designed with six lanes and two emergency stopping lanes. The section from Tan Hiep interchange to the National Highway 56 interchange will operate with four lanes and two emergency stopping lanes.
During the initial operating period, no tolls will be collected on this expressway section. However, an entry station has been arranged at Km18+140 in the Vung Tau - Bien Hoa direction to record vehicles and support toll calculation for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.

Under the traffic organisation plan, vehicles travelling from Dong Nai to Vung Tau can move along National Highway 51 or from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, then turn onto Bung Mon Road for about one kilometre before entering the right-side service road to access the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway at Km16+275.
In the opposite direction, vehicles travelling from Vung Tau to Dong Nai may enter the expressway via the National Highway 56 interchange at Km53+700 or the DT.992 interchange at Km43+800. Upon reaching Km17+650, vehicles will turn right to exit the expressway and join connecting ramps leading towards Dau Giay or downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
In this phase of operation, the route will put into service two completed interchanges, namely the National Highway 56 interchange and the DT.992 interchange, along with part of the Long Thanh interchange connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
