**Professional Practice – A Self-Designed Tour Journey by Trainees of the DNTU Tour Guide Professional Training Course**
On May 19, 2025, trainees of the Tour Guide Professional Training Course, organized by the Center of Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni of Dong Nai Technology University (DNTU), participated in a field trip in Ho Chi Minh City as part of their training and professional practice program.
The tour guide professional training program, implemented by the Center of Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni, aims to equip trainees with specialized knowledge, professional skills, and practical experience to meet the requirements for obtaining Domestic and International Tour Guide Certificates in accordance with current regulations.

Practical Experience – Developing Professional Tour Guide Skills
A distinctive feature of the field trip was that the entire tour program was designed and operated directly by the trainees themselves, from building the itinerary and organizing activities to taking on the role of tour guides throughout the program. This important practical activity allowed trainees to apply the knowledge they had learned in real situations while comprehensively developing their professional skills.
During the visit, the group explored several notable cultural and historical landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City, including:
-
Ho Chi Minh City History Museum
-
Hung Kings Temple in Ho Chi Minh City
-
Saigon Central Post Office
-
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon
-
Independence Palace
At each destination, trainees directly practiced tour guiding, delivering site interpretations, leading tour groups, organizing activities, and handling real-life situations in tourism operations. This experience enabled them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application while improving their communication, organization, and tour management skills.

Learning from Practice – Preparing for Future Careers
Through this field activity, trainees not only gained additional knowledge about history, culture, and tourism destinations, but also developed essential professional skills required for tour guides, such as:
-
Tour guiding and interpretation skills
-
Communication and problem-solving skills
-
Skills in organizing and operating tourism programs
This activity is also an important component of the Tour Guide Professional Training Program organized by the Center of Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni, ensuring that trainees gain practical industry experience before completing the course and obtaining their professional certification.

The field trip concluded successfully, bringing many valuable and meaningful experiences to the participating trainees. It also demonstrates the practice-oriented training approach of Dong Nai Technology University, while affirming the role of the Center of Enterprise Cooperation & Alumni in organizing short-term training programs, developing professional skills, and connecting learners with career opportunities.
