Retail petrol and oil prices adjusted ahead of holiday period

(DN) – On the afternoon of April 29, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance conducted the latest adjustment of retail petrol and oil prices. Prices of several fuel products increased in this adjustment period. The two ministries did not make allocations to, or use, the Petrol Price Stabilization Fund during this round.

Accordingly, from 3 p.m. on April 29, the price of E5 RON 92 petrol rose by VND792 per liter to a maximum retail price of VND22,626 per liter. RON95-III petrol increased by VND871 per liter, with the retail price capped at VND23,751 per liter.

Similarly, diesel oil rose by VND1,475 per liter to a maximum retail price of VND28,172 per liter. Mazut oil increased by VND1,216 per kilogram, with the retail price capped at VND20,027 per kilogram.

Under current regulations, petrol and oil prices are adjusted periodically every Thursday. If the scheduled adjustment date falls on a public holiday, the adjustment is made on the preceding working day.

According to the Agency for Domestic Market Management and Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as April 30, which falls on a Thursday, marks the first day of the holiday period, the fuel price adjustment was carried out on Wednesday, April 29.

The adjustment is intended to ensure timely and continuous fuel price management, helping stabilize the market during the holiday period.
