During the inspection trip, Minister Tran Hong Minh and members of the working delegation surveyed a series of key categories, including: the connecting transportation system, the internal port traffic routes, the aircraft apron area, the viaduct, and the passenger terminal.
According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the executed value of the entire Long Thanh Airport Project to date has reached over 76%. Contractors are simultaneously accelerating, organizing construction in "3 shifts, 4 crews" through day and night, while responding to the "180-day acceleration to reach the finish line" emulation campaign.
Currently, the construction site maintains an average of more than 6.8 thousand direct laborers, an increase of over 6.5% compared to the end of May 2026. However, the project still lacks nearly 2 thousand personnel compared to the requirements, primarily skilled technical workers and personnel to operate specialized equipment. Some units have mobilized military forces to reinforce human resources for the construction site.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Acting General Director of ACV, said: The investor is requiring contractors to supplement sufficient, or even surplus, human resources to organize construction both day and night, prioritizing the early completion of categories to limit weather impacts during the rainy season. Several crucial categories are achieving positive results, such as the completed tunnel system, full construction power supply provided to units, and specifically, the viaduct in front of the terminal which has only 7 final girder segments left.
Speaking at the inspection, Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized the consistent spirit that "the schedule cannot be delayed; we must work, we must race against time." Therefore, relevant units must review the entire volume of construction, as well as the settlement and payment records. At the same time, they must care for and encourage the team of engineers and workers who are staying at the construction site day and night.
Regarding the finishing work, Minister Tran Hong Minh requested implementation under the motto of finishing completely wherever they work, ensuring synchronization between construction and landscape refinement. Completed areas must be cleaned up, and the planting of grass and green trees must be deployed immediately during the rainy season to create aesthetics for the project. "Beautify and clean up wherever it is finished to bring the appearance of the construction site into sharp focus," Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized.

Minister Tran Hong Minh requested the investor and contractors to coordinate with military forces to support cleanup operations, landscape renovation, and green tree planting at the construction site.
Particularly for the internal port traffic routes, which are categories holding a decisive role in the synchronized operation of the airport, the minister requested maximum acceleration of progress. Within this, for the viaduct section in front of the terminal, the contractor must reinforce more forces, reassign personnel for support, and speed up the construction of auxiliary tasks after the rigid structural part is basically completed. "It is necessary to work day and night to pull the schedule forward," Minister Tran Hong Minh required.
