Thousands Gather for Gala Celebrating April 30 Anniversary and the Establishment of Dong Nai City
(DN) – On the evening of April 30, the Dong Nai City People's Committee hosted a commemorative arts program titled "Dong Nai: Historical Currents – Future Aspirations" at the Tran Bien Waterfront. The event celebrated the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), while officially marking the establishment of Dong Nai City

The performance art program chronicled the 328-year history and evolution of Dong Nai, dating back to the era of General Nguyen Huu Canh during his southward expedition to establish administrative outposts and governance on this land. Over more than three centuries, Dong Nai has undergone a powerful transformation, emerging as a vital socio-economic and cultural hub for both the region and the nation.

The arts program was organized by the City Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, featuring performances by the Dong Nai Art Theater alongside singers and dance troupes from Ho Chi Minh City. Following the gala, a high-altitude firework display will be held to honor the April 30 National Holiday and celebrate Dong Nai officially becoming a central-governed city.
